Privacy policy for Prova iOS app
Last updated: May 11, 2026
Prova is built by a solo founder. This policy explains what data Prova collects, how it’s used, and your rights over it. If you have questions, contact chethanpos23@gmail.com.
Your check-ins. When you record a voice check-in, the audio is transcribed using OpenAI’s Whisper API. Your spoken words are sent to OpenAI for transcription only — they are not used to train their models. The transcribed text and Prova’s response are stored locally on your device.
AI conversations. Your check-in transcripts and Prova’s responses are sent to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate personalized callouts, pattern detection, and accountability nudges. Anthropic does not use this data to train their models. Recent check-ins are included as context so Prova’s responses get more contextual over time.
Anonymous usage analytics. Prova uses PostHog to track anonymous events like app opens, check-in completions, and feature usage. This data is not tied to your identity and is used solely to understand how the app is being used. No personal information, transcripts, or recordings are sent to PostHog.
All your check-ins, momentum scores, and personal data are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData. Prova does not sync or back up your data to any external server. If you delete the app, your local data is deleted with it.
Prova uses three third-party services, all under their own privacy policies:
Prova is not intended for users under 13. If a child has used Prova, contact the email above and any data tied to their device will be deleted.
If this policy changes, the “last updated” date at the top will reflect it. Material changes will be announced in the app.
